Field hockey is a sport that is played with a stick and a ball. The sport is popular all around the world. The game is played on a field that is astroturf or grass. There are eleven players on each team, including the goalkeeper.
Objectives

- the ball can only be played with the stick
- may not be touched with any other part of the body
- players may not obstruct or block another player's path with their stick or body
- a goal can only be scored from within the shooting circle
- a penalty corner can be awarded if the defense commits certain offenses within their own shooting circle
- a penalty stroke is awarded if a deliberate attempt is made to stop a goal from being scored with either a foot or deliberate hand on the part of the defense
